Blood Raw’s story and voice blend authenticity and a gift from God that set the tone for his music.
Everyone has a past. Blood Raw has seen his fair share of pain, problems and prosperity. So it’s no surprise that his new single “H.U.S.H. Intro” reminds us that he has been through each one.
The rolling piano keys under the 808 feels like you ran across Beethoven in the trap. Which makes it the perfect production for Blood Raw’s story. And it’s a story that needs to be told without interruption. Which explain’s why there is no hook in the song and it’s not even missed.
If you are familiar with Blood Raw’s music then you already know his past is filled with run-ins with the law. An early prison sentence as a teenager and a fight for his freedom against the Feds as an adult are only parts of the story.
The “H.U.S.H. Intro” song is packed with his truth. The highs and lows of the street life pour out in the bars. Revealing that he hit rock bottom before he was able to make his current power move solidifies that Blood Raw refuses to compromise and give you lies, just because it sounds good over the beat.
It’s been a minute since we heard from Blood Raw so he had to come back hard.
This apparently means that easing you into his new project wasn’t the approach this time around. It appears from this new single that Blood Raw is coming for what he feels the game owes him. The respect that an artist with his tenure in the game who has toured the world and dropped a catalogue of undeniable music deserves.
The energy from the “H.U.S.H. Intro” feels like Blood Raw is fed up. Fed up with so called friends turning into enemies. Frustrated with an industry that acts like he never touched a mic until they saw him with Jeezy. Aggravated that even some of his own people may feel like his run is over and he should focus on something else.
This song feels like Blood Raw doesn’t plan on going quietly into the night. We think you should probably put this new album he is about to drop on your radar. Because he seems to be locked, loaded and taking aim at all of his doubters. Judging from this single if you are in doubt about Blood Raw, you may end up on the wrong side of history.
