Florida Artist, Chewii instills power in her new single, “State of the Nation”
South Florida based artist Chewii drops a powerful new Single “State Of The Nation” which perfectly sums up the feeling of the moment. Tens of thousands of people took to the streets for a fifth night on Saturday to protest the death of George Floyd and other African Americans at the hands of the police, resulting in violent clashes between law enforcement and demonstrators while fires raged across the country.
Chewii, who dedicates her new single to the memory of George Floyd, released “State Of The Nation” exclusively on SoundCloud on Thursday, May 28th, 2020.
Speaking about her new single “State Of The Nation”, which was created in under five hours and released two days later, “I dedicate this song to George Floyd and all those who are under attack because of the color of their skin.”
Chewii is an independent music artist that writes and produces her own music. Chewii was born in Montreal, Canada to an American Father and French Canadian Mother. She currently resides in South Florida.
